We arrived in the wilderness. We knew of a tiny cave to cook our dinner as the sun set. After a delicious and warming meal topped off with Travis's custom infused whiskey, we slowly hiked back to camp. Right beside the Alpine Lake, we paused and marveled at the stars. As Alice pointed out one of the few constellations she can identify a shooting star blazed before our eyes. Travis was unusally quiet as Alice jumped up and down with joy. Their eyes met, and he asked her to join him in this path for the rest of their lives. And they hiked to the top of a mountain the next day.
