well this makes me much more inclined towards those cute VWs all my friends zip around in these days.
My mom (the Master Naturalist) attended a lecture educating interested parties in rainwater collection on a household scale. its extremely simple. cut a hole in a garbage can lid, attach a screen to filter debris. If you are really handy, drill a hole in the bottom and screw in a nozzle to attach a hose! No more watering bans for you.
