Rachel’s post today is really inspiring for some Christmas gifts! I know some adult-sized heads that would love one of these too!
Hoodie + Scarf! I just need a pattern, and a couple snow days and this could be mine!
As my roommates commented before I ventured out last night for a haircut with a new stylist, “Ginger Suite… that sounds yummy!”
And yummy it was. Walking into the salon is a veritable goody shop for the well-heeled lady. After my coiffure was complete, Travis plopped in the the chair for a [...]
I think my cheap wheels would be better served on a wall somewhere…
The other day I was biking up my old street, Salmon Ave and noticed the coolest bike-part arbor someone built on their second story patio! I will snap a picture soon, I am overdue a Portland camera bike tour.
Amazing before and after from Design*Sponge… a free standing sink island… and all that light!
I like how the blue tile and wood color scheme is maintained, yet updated for a modern look.
Ahh and giant tubs… though I love the clawfoot variety.
Oh yea! I wore my awesome new leg warmers on the bike today (no rain this morning!) and I was so nice and warm! I am ready to make a pair in every color. Now I just have to figure out how to read those pesky patterns!
Worked over 16-rnd repeat.
All rnds (except [...]

The author of This Philly Life blog, snapped a pic of the cutest bike with a little love note on it! She admitted her bike falls into the undesirable category, therefore unlikely to recieve such a note, but I agree with her sentiment that it is preferable to remain [...]

I need this chair! Phoebe would love it just as much as her kitty, and look so regal against that lovely pattern.

Custom designed work-corset, specifically made for Burning Man! This chick is awesome. San Francisco artist Nifer Fahrion created this work clothing inspired corset to wear at Burning Man this year. She is one of the original MAN builders! How awesome!

Oh to have a long expanse of wall space in my kitchen! I love our vintage 1920s house, but it can get quite TIGHT with 5 people (or more as usual) trying to cook/eat/clean/imbibe! I am much in favor of open space layouts, allowing the resident to create storage/space as needed. Cabinets with [...]
Super lovely idea, I love container gardening! The colors here are so perfect, with flowery bright plantsm
I heart this creative way to jazz up a simple votive. Sarah from cursive design highlights the best part of summer with her porch season post, twilight!
July marks the true beginning of summer here in Portland. June is a mix of breezy spring weather plus some smatterings of rain. But July is [...]
My newsletter from The Oregonian’s Home and Garden tips reminded me of the need to wean myself from the convenience of my dryer!
They included some great tips, here are my faves:
• Squeamish about neighbors seeing your underwear? Hide it inside the pillow cases. Or, string multiple, parallel clotheslines, and hide it between [...]
After learning about Amy Tavern’s innovative and unique work from my blogger-about-town shopping guru I subscribed to her RSS in my reader and love seeing her work, her student’s work and cool stuff she finds.
This month, she is taking an embroidery class called stitched maps.
“it starts with back stitching and ends with [...]

There is a flower Within my heart, Daisy, Daisy! Planted one day By a glancing dart, Planted by Daisy Bell! Whether she loves me Or loves me not, Sometimes it's hard to tell; Yet I am longing to share the lot - Of beautiful Daisy Bell! Daisy, Daisy, Give me your answer do! I'm half crazy, All for the love of you! It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage But you'll look sweet upon the seat Of a bicycle made for two. We will go 'tandem' As man and wife, Daisy, Daisy! 'Peddling' away Down the road of life, I and my Daisy Bell! When the road's dark We can both despise P'licemen and 'lamps' as well; There are 'bright lights’ In the dazzling eyes Of beautiful Daisy Bell! Daisy, Daisy, Give me your answer do! I'm half crazy, All for the love of you! It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage But you'll look sweet upon the seat Of a bicycle made for two. I will stand by you In 'weal' or woe, ["weal" means prosperity] Daisy, Daisy! You'll be the bell(e) Which I'll ring you know! Sweet little Daisy Bell! You'll take the 'lead' In each 'trip' we take, Then if I don't do well, I will permit you to Use the brake, My beautiful Daisy Bell!
