america 2.0

in a hilarious post by Meowza Katz over at the Aviary, he redesigns our nation for the 2.0 (presumably that Obama will be ushering in)

Unfortunately our money is as worthless as this picture makes it look! The era of fat-cat corporate culture is taking a hit, and I am not sad to see it go. Quite the Fight-Club-esque […]

The things you can do with rolls of tape, Styrofoam cups, paper plates, napkins…
Lovely work. Kind of reminds me of tripe though!

I have love the beef noodle bowls that are tucked away in perfectly hidden little vietnamese joints (i.e. not the glossy Pho Van in the middle of hipster town) but I can’t […]

Katogi Mari

via: Katogi Mari
her work is decidedly 2-dimensional, and her acrylic canvas work is almost identical to her Adobe Illustrator work! Beautiful eye for design, composition and whimsical proportions.
Obviously inspired by tales such as Alice in Wonderland, her attention to dreams, lovelies, and flowers is right up my alley.

saved by the buoyancy of citrus

a quote from mitch hedberg.
this is a lovely poster by Chicago artist Ian Dingman.  Ian’s work can be seen in about a million magazines, plus he designed the packaging for the upcoming Criterion release of Wes Anderson’s Bottle Rocket.

Woods Hole

I think I have decided that “N” is my favorite letter right now. Although g and K are a close second. I am obsessed with analyzing the points of the character. Futura, a lovely but coldy precise font always has a beautiful N.

Speaking of Futura, I came across a lovely reinterpretation of Futura that warms up its […]

MAD rebrand

Loving the new logo treatment for the Museum of Art and Design in NYC.

They recently changed the name from American Craft Museum and the new signage lends its self to numerous possibilities, while engaging with a simple, easy to remember acronym.
